This #SituationSaturday we are asking you to take part in Southern Tier Tuesdays. STT is a not-for-profit grant program working in partnership with Upstate Shredding and WBNG 12 News to support area organizations making a difference in Southern Tier communities for Southern Tier citizens. The grant program allows people in the community to nominate organizations for consideration to receive a $2000 grant. Nominations are collected monthly and an independent committee reviews and narrows down nominations to 12 finalists. Finalists are announced on Southern Tier Tuesdays social channels, after which voting opens. Voting occurs over a 5-day window each month and those receiving the most votes determine the upcoming month’s grant recipients. The grant program is currently slated to continue through 2021.
