The Family Engagement Center (FEC) enhances the opportunities for visits between families and their loved ones who live on our Main Campus. The space features two suites available for reservation, a deluxe kitchen, a game and TV room, and ample space for recreation. Since opening the FEC, families and staff have gathered for birthdays, baby and wedding showers, businesses have hosted meetings, and the lives of people we have lost have been celebrated.

Guest Suite Amenities

Each guest suite is equipped with:

Guidelines for Use, Rules, & Policies

GENERAL INFORMATION
Hours of Operation:
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Reservation Requests and Confirmations:
Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be contacted within 48 hours to confirm your room. If your request is not available we will offer other options. If you have not heard from Springbrook within 48 hours please call 607-286-7171 ext: 271.

Cost to Stay:
The FEC was made entirely possible through fundraising efforts, and its continued operation relies on donations to Springbrook’s Annual Fund. While there is no cost for families to use the Family Engagement Center, a suggested donation of $100/night will allow us to continue this benefit, along with year-round programming in this space.

Reservations:
Max stay: 3 consecutive nights

One room per family
Make a reservation up to 3 months in advance
Checkin: 3:00 p.m., Checkout: 10:00 a.m.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance

Rules & Policies:

No weapons on any Springbrook property
No tobacco, cannabis, alcohol, or non-prescription drug use
No pets (service animals welcome)
Quiet Hours: 9:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Supervise children at all times
Respect shared spaces
Laundry Facilities are available, do not overload machines
Unreserved spaces (offices, other suites, etc.) may not be used

On our main campus, you will find The School at Springbrook, Residential Housing, and The Family Engagement Center. To schedule a tour or visit a loved one living on campus, please complete the Family Visitation Request Form.

All visit scheduling is centralized. Please do not contact your loved one’s home staff or other Springbrook staff to schedule; they will direct you to the Scheduling Request Form.

All pick-ups, drop-offs, and visits for students at the school will be accommodated through the Family Engagement Center.

Important Information on Community Home visits, on-campus room appointments, and local accomodations

Main Campus Residential Housing Room Appointments

The purpose of on-campus room appointments is to inventory clothes, personal items, swap out seasonal clothing, decorate to taste, and/or assist with bedroom set-up or changes. Room appointments are not visits.

Overnight Visits with a resident in Community Homes

- Overnight visits are requested to be scheduled through the Scheduling Request Form. If you have not set up an account with the request form, click here.
  - We suggest submitting a request at least 48 hours in advance to ensure medication refills, personal belongings, and other important items are ready for the visit!
- For daytime visits (both inside and outside the IRA) do not need to be scheduled using the Scheduling Request Form. It is recommended that you contact the house at least 3 hours before the visit so that staff can ensure your loved one is ready to go!
- In-home visits are permitted unless any residents who live in your loved one’s home are in isolation or quarantine
- In-home visits are no longer restricted to the resident’s room

Each Springbrook Community Home houses a number of residents, and our goal is to support visits that respect each individual’s rights and privacy. Here are some recommendations to help you have the most successful and positive visit possible.

- Visitation during quieter times provides a visit with less distraction and more personal time with your loved one
- Mealtimes are very busy, so it may be less likely that you will have a private visit.
