For the O’Brien family, finding the right support for their son, Jack, was a top priority. Jack, described as a “fun-loving kid,” thrives when he’s on the move like taking walks, playing catch, or unwinding with his iPad and a favorite snack. Like many parents, the O’Briens wanted a setting where Jack could grow, feel supported, and, most importantly, be happy.

They first learned about Springbrook through their school district while searching for the right educational and residential placement. It quickly became clear that Springbrook stood out, not just because of its beautiful campus, but because it offered opportunities that aligned perfectly with Jack’s interests. “Jack loves being outdoors,” his family shared. “And the school provided lots of opportunities to enjoy it. He also loves the water, and the pool on campus was a huge plus.”

The transition to Springbrook was made easier by the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. “We call the house regularly and speak with the staff. They give us the rundown on Jack’s progress and how his day is going,” said the O’Briens. “They’ve been wonderful with him.”

Since receiving services at Springbrook, Jack has made incredible strides. “He communicates better with us and seems happier with a structured schedule,” his parents shared. Jack’s days are filled with access to music rooms, gym time, therapeutic equipment, and a safe and comfortable environment where he resides.

The O’Brien family is especially grateful for the welcoming environment created for families. “We always feel very welcome when we visit the school, and we also enjoyed the Family Engagement Center. It’s a beautiful addition that allows parents to stay overnight on campus.”

The O’Briens also appreciate the opportunity to be involved in Springbrook’s events, which support the services provided to their son, Jack. They recently participated in Springbrook’s Inaugural Fairways for Futures golf tournament, adding, “We’re already looking forward to next year’s golf outing.”

Looking ahead, Jack’s family is hopeful that he will continue building on his communication and life skills. With Springbrook’s great team and enriching programs, they are confident he is in the right place to succeed.

To other families considering Springbrook, the O’Briens offer this: “We’ve always had positive experiences—and most importantly, Jack is very happy.”
