Today we are recognizing Ruth Vance for her 10-year milestone accomplishment! Ruth is a direct support professional for Springbrook community homes, where she has learned to never underestimate anyone. One of the moments from her Springbrook career that has stuck with her is when she learned that one of the residents she supported enjoyed her presence. This particular resident showed her approval only by talking positively about people to others rather than complimenting them directly. When the resident learned that Ruth was worried that she did not like her, she made sure that Ruth was around when she complimented her and that she complimented her often. If Ruth could share anything with a new Springbrook employee, it would be to “treat everyone with respect and dignity.” Thank you, Ruth, for your dedication, and congratulations on your milestone accomplishment!
