Thanks to Visions Federal Credit Union for extending a helping hand in the form of a $2,000 grant to the Springbrook Foundation’s HELP Committee fund! Each year, the HELP Committee considers requests for financial assistance from people who receive services from Springbrook or its affiliates and have a specific need that cannot be met through other resources.
Small grants, typically $100-$200, are provided for things like specialized clothing or footwear, a summer camp fee for children and adults with developmental disabilities, adapted sports equipment, sensory items, holiday gifts, or even emergency assistance to a family who has suffered a house fire. More than 100 children and adults with disabilities benefit from HELP Committee grants annually.
Visions Federal Credit Union provides banking services at locations across our region, including Binghamton, Cortland, and Ithaca. Through their Visions Cares program, they give back by donating to community organizations. Springbrook was honored to be invited to apply for a grant when Visions began plans to add a branch on Oneonta’s Southside, which will be opening soon.
