Last week, we proudly celebrated the achievements of The School at Springbrook graduates. We are immensely proud of their hard work, dedication, and the significant milestones they have reached!

Congratulations, The School at Springbrook Class of 2024!

KimoraKimora Fredericks is described by the people around her as funny, caring, and adventurous. Kimora’s favorite thing to do is dance. She often finds a rhythm and will incorporate a dance break during her tasks. Her persistence, patience, and self-confidence have driven her growth as a woman at The School. She loves engaging with her friends, peers, and staff and is compassionate for everyone she meets. From board games to crafts, Kimora loves group interactions and projects. She regularly made supply deliveries to classrooms, which increased her self-confidence, awareness, and independence. Kimora is also quite the fashionista, known for her keen sense of style and creativity in her outfits. She will be missed for her compassion and big hugs!

Kimora was voted Best Dancer amongst her peers. Congratulations, Kimora!

Simon 2024 GraduationSimon Kutacek is known for being creative and having a silly spirit. In school, he enjoyed current events, social studies, music, and art projects. Outside of school, Simon could be found hanging out with friends, watching movies, listening to music through the 60s into the 90s, or out shopping. Simon loves Disney and Broadway shows. He enjoys researching them and sharing his knowledge with his peers. At Springbrook, Simon learned how to handle money, cook, administer medications, socialization, and general living skills. Simon showed the most improvement with independence around the house and community.  These accomplishments will help Simon succeed throughout his life. Simon also adores his dog, Oliver, and cherishes spending time at home with his family.

Simon loves to help others and hopes to open his own business someday.  After graduation, he plans to move into one of Springbrook’s Community Homes. Simon was voted Most Candid. Congratulations, Simon!

JacobJacob LoBello is known for being one of the friendliest students at The School and loves to wave hello to everyone he passes. He has learned many things including numerous vocational skills, the importance of identifying safety signals, and practicing safety awareness around the community. Outside the classroom, he enjoys watching videos on his iPad, especially of dogs and chickens and loves to spend time outside in the sun. Jacob has a deep appreciation for all types of music. When a song particularly resonates with him, it is easy to tell because he starts nodding his head to the beat!

Jacob will be missed for his friendliness but is excited to move closer to his family after graduation. Jacob was voted Best Smile. Congratulations, Jacob!

RyanRyan MacMahon is an avid reader and a dedicated Special Olympics athlete who competes in track and field, basketball, and soccer.  Ryan has excelled in using a communication device; the device has allowed him to confidently communicate his needs and wants. Academically, Ryan has excelled in reading, spelling, and math. He has a passion for food and has continued to express interest in working in food services.

Ryan has been the voice of Springbrook radio advertisements, which you may have heard on your local radio station! After graduation, he will be moving into a home within Springbrook’s Community Homes department.  Ryan was voted Most Positive. Congratulations, Ryan!

KimKimberly Marra, known as Kim, is described as funny and friendly. She is most passionate about athletics and can often be found playing basketball or soccer. Kim has competed in several Special Olympics Basketball tournaments and enjoys hanging out with her friends on the team. She also loves going for walks, socializing with others, baking and cooking, and relaxing with her friends from school. At Springbrook, Kim has become more independent and confident with handling money, cooking, and using technology.

Kim would like to work at a Dunkin’ Donuts location or alongside her father in landscaping. She dreams of living independently in her own apartment one day. Her laugh is incredibly contagious, spreading joy and warmth to everyone around her. Kim finds great solace and purpose in volunteering at the horse stables, where she cares for the horses with dedication. Additionally, she has been a mentor to many students, who consistently look up to her for guidance and support. Kim was voted Class Influencer. Congratulations, Kim!

MiaMia Torani is best known at The School for her adventurous (and independent) spirit. Mia is full of life and energy whether she is baking in the kitchen, drawing on the sidewalk or planning her next adventure. She loves spending time crafting, cooking, or planning trips. In winter, she loves to plan ski trips or visit family in Florida. Even though Mia has a bad case of senioritis, she has learned many things in school, at home and in the community.

After graduation, Mia hopes to find a place close to home where she can let her independent spirit thrive and visit her dad frequently. Mia was voted Most Athletic. Congratulations, Mia!
